What happens when you don’t believe what you think. There might have been other ways and this was the way for this boy. He was honest articulate . And there are no victims. And Casey does not call himself a victim. A boy who is bullied turns the event around. He is modest unassuming and honest.

Now this is the title and  he is not a victim though the mind would like to make it so. He is not a hero and again this is mind trying to make somethe what they are not. Could be he is a person that respond to what is for him.

Byron Katie Event Amsterdam

For those of you who missed this event. Well, that was for me wonderful learning and good to be in the atmosphere of the work. The most important thing for me was to hear and see Katie helping people stay in the work and not to leave the work for their story.

What is the work it is IQ. Investigate (the inquiry)  the thoughts that you are believing that cause you suffering. And Question them using the 4 question that are the work. Katie calls The Work the  4 questions the mechanics for coming out of pain and suffer and dis-pare.

Becoming Unstuck from everything

What is WD 40? It’d s spray oil we use it on almost everything which is stuck and needs to be freed from it’s rust or water damaged.

“It took them 40 attempts to get the water displacing formula worked out. WD-40®—which stands for Water Displacement and perfected on the 40th try—is still in use today.” and un-sticking all sorts of things.

So what is the point of talking about WD 40?

  1. I happen use on my bicycle chain and used lots of on my motorcycle and old VW Beetle.
  2. It took 40 tries to get it working. The only thing they knew that there is a way out of being stuck and rusted and things need to be moving again.
  3. Where is your focus. Wayne Dyer has talked about fly was not done by focusing on not flying and get iron ships to float was not done by focusing on the sinking of things. focus on getting things moving.
  4. If you can identify, the thoughts that keep you from having peace, clarity, joy and a wonderful life. You are in the beginning of the process of getting unstuck. Focusing on what is not working in your life, will give you more of what does not work and then becomes the proof that life is stuck and sucks. (And there is a book called why your life sucks by Alan h. Cohen worth reading).

Now back to WD 40 and the work of Byron Katie.

And it could take 40 times or 1 time or 100 times to become unstuck.  Just think of it if the Wright brothers gave up after their first attempt. We would still be sitting on the ground wondering if we could fly? And just like in the case of developing WD 40 you never know when you suddenly become free or fly.

    This is close to the work of Byron Katie and is not the work. For me, as a result of looking at what you believe testing it with the 4 questions of  “thework”. You then will be living these 20 questions(with the answers) and the way to live will come out of your understanding and clarity and experience. And when you move back into suffering confusion and unhappiness. You can begin again, find you way back though doing the work of Byron Katie. By simply filling in a JYN worksheet found at www.thework.com, which helps you identify thoughts creating your suffering and then questing them with 4 questions and moving into turn around of your original statements.     How to Stop Seeking Love Approval and Appreciation

    Is this you? Do you seek love and approval? That is why I love the work you start looking at what you can give yourself. You investigatee your though the 4 question and you come to find you are ok as you are with or with out that person that you thought you could not survive without.

    When you say or do anything to please, get, keep, influence, or control anyone or anything, fear is the cause and pain is the result. Manipulation is separation, and separation is painful. Another person can love you totally in that moment, and you’d have no way of realizing it. If you act from fear, there’s no way you can receive love, because you’re trapped in a thought about what you have to do for love. Every stressful thought separates you from people.

    But once you question your thoughts, you discover that you don’t have to do anything for love. It was all an innocent misunder­standing. When you want to impress people and win their approval, you’re like a child who says, “Look at me, Look at me” It all comes down to a needy child. When you can love that child and embrace it yourself, the seeking is over.

    What is The Work™ of Byron Katie?

    Time Magazine refers to Byron Katie as an innovator for this millennium.

    The Work™ is a simple yet powerful process of inquiry that teaches you to identify and question  thoughts that cause all the suffering in the world. It’s a way to understand what’s hurting you,  and to address your problems with clarity.

    Byron Katie had an experience in 1986 that she calls “waking up to reality.”

    “I discovered that when I believed my thoughts, I suffered, but that when I didn’t believe them, I didn’t suffer, and that this is true for every human being. Freedom is as simple as that. I found that suffering is optional. I found a joy within me that has never disappeared, not for a single moment. That joy is in everyone, always.”

    The Four Questions came out of her direct experience with ending her own suffering and invitations from others to share what she had discovered. Quickly realizing that sharing her own insights did not give others the same freedom she had found, the four questions came as a tool to help others free themselves from their own stressful beliefs about the world around them.

    The Four Questions are now known as The Work™ of Byron Katie.

    They are:

    1. Is it true?
    2. Can you absolutely know it’s true?
    3. How do you react when you believe the thought?
    4. Who would you be without the thought?

    Then, turn the statement around and find examples of how the opposite might actually be true.

    By answering these questions for ourselves we can experience reality without our projections and interpretations.

    It’s not the questions that make The Work™ so powerful.

    It’s the answers that we discover that bring us insight and freedom. Reality is always kinder than our thoughts.
